Never mind Britain’s Got Talent, NewVIc has even more ...

Students impressed audiences at Stratford Circus with their dance skills this week.

The show included performances from vocational and A-level performing arts and dance students as well as routines from students who participate in Activ8 clubs. It was clear that a lot of skill and hard work from students and staff had gone into preparing the pieces.

Students worked with artists including Kompany Malakhi, Just Us and ex-NewVIc student, Kofi Mingo to develop the routines. They also drew inspiration from performances they’ve seen throughout the year from dancers from Laban, Lewisham College and London Contemporary Dance School.

Beatrix Roudet, faculty manager, commented on the show:

“It was a dazzling performance. It was a full house and the entire audience was engaged by the show. The standard of performance reflects the on-going hard work from teachers and students”.
